Misty Bibby Hardy
Artist of the Year 2024, Misty Bibby-Hardy serves on the Board of Directors and has been an active member of the Arts Council of Livingston Parish for more than 6 years. Misty is certified in dance and has performed in numerous ballets which include: The Nutcracker, Hansel and Gretel, Swan Lake, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. Misty is a dedicated instructor and teaches Summer Camp classes at the Arts Council of Livingston Parish and at the Lockhart Community Center's Camp Empowerment Summer program.
You can find Misty teaching a pre-ballet combo program for younger dancers, pointe, ballet technique, jazz, tap, tumbling, hip hop, and more at Odyssey Academy of Dance. Odyssey Academy of Dance is home to an award-winning competition team and offers a wonderful recreation program for those who are not interested in the competitive aspect of dance but want to learn proper technique and grow as dancers.
Misty leads a group of dancers through various recital, competition, and festival performances during the year, including the Nutcracker Ballet. She and her dancers are active in community events; you may have seen them perform during a Girls Night Out reception at the Arts Council Gallery or during a Denham Springs Festival.
